You know what we like to do here at Mamamia? Eat cake at 10am. But also, have a nosy into other people's beauty routines. A peep inside their beauty bag. A pervy glance into what they buy when they're trawling through the beauty aisles.

Goodness, it's fun.

So when Priceline offered us the chance to look at their sale books from the last twelve months, obviously we had to say yes.

Here, they've shared exactly which beauty products Australian women are purchasing in stores - meaning we now know exactly what the most popular makeup products and beauty accessories are from the last year.

No surprises here, friends! The Ordinary took out the top eight of the ten spots on the skincare front - which is... slightly insane.

Offering supercharged formulas packed with potent actives, sold at affordable prices, the brand has quickly attracted a cult following. And since their launch in 2016, the buzz is still going strong.

The product that nabbed top spot? The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. Offering intense hydration and benefits for all skin types, it's no wonder it's the brand's most-loved product.

Joining pretty much ever product from The Ordinary, are Garnier's brightening eye masks and Spot Medic's pimple patches - which are a great alternative to tearing your face apart.

Interestingly, there was only one foundation that made the list of top-selling makeup products - Nude By Nature's Mineral Cover. This loose mineral powder foundation also happens to be the brand's number one best-seller - so that kind of makes sense!

When it comes to hair, Priceline saw a rise in people purchasing nourishing masks, oils and treatments,

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie took out first place in the haircare sector - suggesting more and more people are embracing their natural texture and focusing on looking after the health of their hair.

We love to see it.

You'll also notice quite a few hairsprays getting around in the top ten (yes, we're looking at you Schwarzkopf!), which may be thanks to the rise of that 'clean' beauty aesthetic you're seeing everywhere - that is, slicked back hair with zero flyaways.

Honourable mentions go to Fudge's purple shampoo - which is clearly a hit - as well as the cult Batiste Dr Shampoo (you can't beat it).
