'I'm a beauty editor who's into simple skincare. Here's how I rate these 8 CeraVe products.'

As a beauty editor, trying out new beauty products is a big part of what I do.

I know, I know. I'm one lucky goose.

But while it's super fun to get to try a whole heap of newborn beauty products, things can get a little... spicy. On the skin front, specifically.

See, when you're trying a whole heap of different skincare products all the time, you end up the proud owner of what we refer to as 'beauty editor skin'.

We're talking breakouts, sensitivity, redness, irritation - all of the things.

Watch: Exhibit A. Story continues below.

That's why I have a trusty selection of tried-and-true skincare products that I can crawl back to when my skin freaks out.

Enter: CeraVe.

Sure, the products might look 'boring' - but they're dependable staples that do their job. In fact, more often than not, they'll do it better than the fancy colourful tubes and gold-plated jars on your social feed.

Ask any dermatologist or skin expert for the best stuff to use on your skin, and I guarantee they'll point you in the direction of CeraVe.

But where does one start?

To help you decide, I've pulled together a ranking of all of the best CeraVe products you can put on your face.

Shall we?

8. CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum, $34.99.

Whether you're a skincare novice who is looking to dip your toes into the land of serums, or simply want a hydrating serum that won't hurt your wallet, you can't go wrong with the Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum. It's one of those products that's good for everyone.

Used on its own or layered with other serums or moisturisers, it nourishes and softens dry skin and helps to keep your face moisturised and happy.

7. Cerave Eye Repair Cream, $19.99.

Raise your hand if you've ever been personally victimised by dry under eyes.

I always find it really scary trying to find the right stuff to use under my eyes, because the skin there is obviously super delicate and mine get easily irritated.

But CeraVe Eye Repair Cream is a real goodie. It helps to nourish and hydrate, using a combo of three essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. It'll also brighten the appearance of dark eye circles.

6. CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream, $19.99.

You know what sucks? Those red, unsqueezable bumps that randomly pop up on the backs of your arms.

You know what doesn't suck? CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream.

It's just the ticket to exfoliate away rough, bumpy skin (it contains salicylic acid), while delivering a solid dose of hydration for smooth, soft skin.

If you suffer from keratosis pilaris, this one might be for you.

5. CeraVe Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum, $41.99.

This would have to be the only vitamin C serum I use consistently. Part of the reason being, it's so easy to use and doesn't leave my skin irritated, like a lot of other formulas I've tried in the past. It's lovely and gentle, but still packs a punch when it comes to results.

My skin looks brighter, clearer and more radiant with this in my routine. Since its launch last year, it's become one of my absolute morning staples.

4. CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, $16.99.

Perfect for all skin types - but particularly for our oily skinned friends - CeraVe Foaming Cleanser is one of those all-rounder buys.

It'll help purify your skin, reduce sebum production and keep your pores clear and healthy, without irritating your skin.

3. CeraVe Daily Moisturiser Lotion, $22.99.

This is all the proof you need that you don't have to spend over a hundred dollars on a moisturiser.

CeraVe Daily Moisturising Lotion is a lightweight yet fast-absorbing moisturiser that hydrates dry to very dry skin on the face and body.

It's a real winner if you want something that'll *actually* hydrate your skin for more than five minutes, without breaking the bank.

2. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, $14.99.

I flirt around with a lot of different cleansers, but I always go back to this one.

It's deeply hydrating and will leave your skin feeling all soothed and comfy - instead of that tight, dry feeling you get with some other cleansers. It also contains a combo of moisture-boosting ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which is heaven for someone with dry skin (me).

1. CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream, $38.99.

THIS. This is my all-time favourite CeraVe product. And I talk about it a lot - because it's so incredibly good. My skin is miles smoother every time I put it on my face. It has the most beautiful demi-matte finish that makes your skin feel all silky and lovely and it's not the slightest bit sticky like most overnight creams.

Thick, yet lightweight, I guarantee it will make you wake up with velvety soft skin. Love!
