On last night’s episode of Married at First Sight,it finally happened.

After secretly texting each other behind their matched partners backs for days on end, Sam Ball and Ines Basic took their (most likely staged) affair to the next level.

Now, on tonight’s episode, Sam’s ‘wife’ Elizabeth is back in town and things are gettingveryawkward.

Sharing drinks and dinner with the other wives, Ines decided to confront Elizabeth when she talked about an intimate moment (involving, erm, thumb sucking) which she shared with Sam before she disappeared.

“Your relationship will never work out,” Ines told Elizabeth.

“You come here, you disrespect him. I don’t know if he does the same ’cause I don’t really speak to him,” she added. “But I just don’t think that’s like a healthy thing, you know?”

Ines’ comments soon got the other girls questioning whether Ines “fancied” Sam.

“I just think you should mind your own business. Like girl code doesn’t exist to me,” she responded.

Erm,right.

Things then proceeded to get evenmoreawkward when Cyrell told Elizabeth that there was a rumour going around that Ines and Sam had been seen “hanging out in the sauna”.

“Ines! Did you hook up with Sam in the sauna?” Elizabeth screamed across the room.

“Why don’t you come here and say it to me instead of screaming,” Ines retorted.

Here’s how Australia reacted to the dramatic girls night.

Funny how Ines never talks until now.. stirring the pot #MAFS

“Be a civil, decent human being…It’s like you’re a walking problem”. I can’t. I’m dying under the weight of the irony. #MAFS

Usually I love the lols but that was one of the ugliest interactions between women I’ve seen on TV. So many shitty stereotypes played out, such a tired narrative. Makes it hard to ask men to do better with a straight face. #MAFSAU #MAFS
