It seems Tayla and Grant's Love Island relationship is crumbling down.

Grant and Tayla’s relationship on Love Island Australia blossomed beautifully. It started with a cheating scandal, but over the six weeks they turned out pretty cute, winning the show and choosing their relationship over the money.

But in hindsight, Tayla may have been better off taking the money instead.

In an interview with Kyle and Jackie O, Tayla Damir, 21, confirmed that Grant Crapp had a secret girlfriend at home during his time on the island.

Tayla said she was heartbroken when she found out.

“[Dumping him] went through my mind, for sure, obviously finding that out was a big shock to the system and I was like, ‘Well, do you really love me?'” she said.

“We are trying to work through this, it’s obviously put a massive strain on our relationship. We’re trying to rebuild the trust.”

Tayla told the radio show that she tried to contact the secret girlfriend herself, but she wasn’t interested in talking.

Crapp, 22, told the radio show that his girlfriend was aware he was going on the show, saying “Her and Tayla don’t deserve this.”

Rumours circulated that Grant had a secret girlfriend last month when  NW reported the electrician was in a long-term relationship with a personal trainer named Lucy Cartwright.

The publication said the couple were living together before he left for the show and had worked together on his fitness fashion brand… which he had been wearing on the show a lot.

“No joke! His girlfriend is my cousin,” a woman claiming to be Lucy’s cousin wrote on Instagram.

“They live together and they were still 100 per cent together when he went on the show. He was just going there to promote himself and his fitness brand royal apparel.”

In the early episodes of the show, Grant was critiqued for gaslighting contestant Cassidy, when he confused her by blatantly lying to her face, forgetting that the cameras were documenting his every move.

In the wise words of Sophie Monk, the show was “Love Island not Friend Island”, which leaves us begging the question, why did Grant go on this show?
