$250,000 on flowers and food alone: Exactly what Kyle Sandilands spent on his wedding.

Kyle Sandilands' wedding to Tegan Kynaston has become the unlikely wedding of the year.

The pair, who got engaged at the beginning of 2022, have been sharing details here and there about their big day — including how much everything costs.

During his breakfast radio show in March, the presenter told co-host Jackie O Henderson he'd recently met with their wedding planner to talk through the details.

"What are the bills like?" Henderson asked.

Sandilands replied, "They're fine. They're manageable."

"Manageable for you? Omg if they’re just 'manageable' for you..." said Henderson.

Sandilands proposed to Kynaston in January 2022. Their wedding is set to take place on April 29, in Sydney, with 130 guests.

Continuing, the 51-year-old explained that the two most expensive things so far have been the flowers and catering.

"[The wedding budget] didn't have a total at the end because there are still a few things to add, but I did notice that the flowers were quite expensive," he told his co-host.

Catering will cost a further $100,000, with reports suggesting $35,000 of that is for caviar alone.

"We're already up to $250,000 and we've only got flowers and food," said Sandilands.

"That's more than I spent on my whole wedding - like, double," Henderson replied, admitting she spent $80,000 on her own big day.

Sandilands and Kynaston are also having personalised napkins made featuring part of the radio host's family crest, costing the couple somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000.

Then there's the music - and while the radio host shared that the musical performances on the day will be free, he and his fiancée still need to pay for the musicians' interstate flights, transfers and accommodation.

The pair's wedding will be held at the $60 million Swifts mansion in Darling Point, Sydney. On Friday morning, the bride was seen touring the estate with her son.

It's rumoured the entire wedding is costing them at least $1 million in total.

On Saturday morning, the official Kyle and Jackie O account shared footage inside the venue and of the flower arrangements.

Sandilands mentioned that "Guy" will perform (we assume Guy Sebastian?!) at the marquee and the "disco venue".

But instead of simply moving his equipment from one area to another, the pair have organised a setup at each venue, further adding to their costs.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will be in attendance; as will Labor Premier Chris Minns and John Ibrahim who is a groomsman.

"Kyle and Tegan have a relationship and the thing that occurs at the wedding is it's a public expression in front of people, invited guests, of love between two people," the Prime Minister said in a live press conference defending his decision to attend.

"I enjoy weddings and I'll be going to the wedding."

The pair previously announced there will be no first dance between the newlyweds, as neither he nor Kynaston are dancers, and no one has been chosen to give a speech.

Instead, he will choose a guest at random to give an 'ad lib' speech.

In August 2022, Henderson announced on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that Sandilands and Kynaston had welcomed their son, Otto.

The presenter had rushed off-air an hour earlier when his fiancée went into labour.

"Guys, I am broadcasting from home for a reason, and that reason seems to have raised its head now," he said before turning to Kynaston and asking, "It's all happening?"

"It's time? Oh, it's time!" Henderson said before the radio studio broke out in applause.
