What women get up to when they're home alone.

How often each day do you just wish you had more time to yourself at home, with no interruptions?

Just think of the possibilities…

You could colour co-ordinate your wardrobe;

Unpack those last two boxes from your move seven months ago;

Or even blend up enough green smoothies to last you for the next few days.

At least that’s what you should be doing when you find yourself with some extra time on your hands.

Instead, a group of women have secretly confessed to what they really do when they find themselves home alone and we can’t say any of their behaviours are all that productive.

No judgement.

They include:

Meowing at a cat;

Yelling at the TV;

And stalking ex's on social media.

All well and good, but productive? I think not.

Except for one.

Check out my nose in the mirror. A lot!

Now that's a solitary home alone activity we can get behind. Because sometimes you have no idea just how revolting your nose is until you look at it very closely for a very long time, right?

The Richest magazine found that one of the most common ways in which women who are home alone pass the time is to arm themselves with a pair of tweezers and a magnifying mirror for an at-home hair plucking and pore popping session, whilst wearing whatever clothes they slept in the night before.

So, not a lot of cleaning going on then, and you keep saying you're going to clean the bathroom cabinets because they really are beyond cruddy.

Not to mention making a quick phone call to poor Aunty Mildred whom you haven't spoken to in months.

Or how about reaching for one of the many books you've been meaning to read?

But at least your stray hairs, pores and pimples are covered.

For those who were only willing to admit to reading books during their alone time, here is Mia Freedman on No Filter talking to novelist Jodi Picoult.
