"A wicked waste." All the photos from The Block's master ensuite reveal in one place.

It's already week three on The Block, and the contestants got stuck into their master ensuite bathrooms.

The challenges proved to be immense this week with one setback after another - particularly for Dylan and Jenny who were convinced they would be unable to provide a completed room after they missed mandatory pre-starts and, as a result, were shut down for an hour.

Omar and Oz had their own troubles in House Five when they were told their floor tiles had not been glued on properly (meaning they'd have to be ripped off...). Despite being advised they should not reveal a room this week, the boys employed the help of Keith and Dan who managed to come up with a solution.

Thankfully, the contestants pulled through and every Blockhead was able to finish their space by tools down.

Money spent: $19,057

Upon seeing House One's master ensuite, Darren was incredibly impressed. From the tile choice to the colour palette, the judges loved the "timeless" feel.

However, Shaynna was not a fan of their wall sconce placement, saying: "I'm annoyed [they're] up there."

The face-to-face storage was also an issue (again), but Tom and Sarah-Jane were adamant their cupboard storage would suffice for the right buyer.

"They've obviously made their mind up that they don't like that," noted Neale.

Despite the minor critiques, Shaynna, Neale and Darren loved the "calmness" of the space.

Rachel and Ryan.

Money spent: $27,164

After looking into House Two's master ensuite, Darren was quick to praise the room. Neale on the other hand loved the size and the layout but didn't feel Rachel and Ryan made the most of their space.

"I feel like I'm seeing a sea of grey... This just feels a little bit downbeat," he said, which Darren disagreed with.

"This is actually a really beautiful floor tile that feels warm and gorgeous, I love the movement through it," he explained. He added that he loved the tiles through the shower and the double showerhead, but said the tiles on the wall felt "oppressive".

All the judges agreed the wall tile was a mistake.

Shaynna said that if the couple continued to not incorporate more "traditional" aspects in their rooms, they would always lose points from her.

"I will talk about that every week if they don't do it," she said. "I feel like at the moment everything is pushed into the corner."

Once again, Darren disagreed with Shaynna's comments, saying: "Guys honestly, I really like 7/8ths of this room."

"I'm really struggling to find positives," Neale responded, adding that while the bathroom is ticking every box, it has "no charm and it has no personality. I think that's a wicked waste".

Despite the harsh criticism, the judge made it clear to Rachel and Ryan that the room was "not a failure", but it needed more "pizazz".

Ankur and Sharon.

Money spent: $33,394

Next up is House Three, and Sharon's progress in balancing out her love of contemporary styling with a traditional flair is evident.

For the judges, the personality of the room was a welcome sight after seeing House Two's lack of character in their main ensuite. But their main criticism was that there was too much character.

Neale also wasn't a fan of the black tapware, saying it made the room feel "heavier than it needs to be".

"I would have gone with the brass," he noted.

Shaynna wasn't a fan of the "theatrical" details and couldn't help but notice the double-sided fireplace near the bath meant you could see a reflection of someone going to the toilet from the master bedroom.

"Not good, you can see someone on the toilet," she said.

In spite of the layout, the judges were impressed with how far House Three has come and advised the couple to pare back in the future.

"What they need to now learn is a little bit of edit... Look at all the theatrics and take one or two things out," Shaynna said.

Dylan and Jenny.

Money spent: $24,350

After a week filled with challenges, Dylan and Jenny were relieved to have their room mostly completed by tools down. The judges also appreciated it, commending the "really huge" size of the space.

"It has a real sense of luxury in here," said Neale. "There's an understated elegance to this room... Just simple, simple styling but it tells a story.. and it makes it feel homely."

Darren praised the couple for the amount of thought they'd put into the room.

"The whole story, it's telling luxury. It's astounding," he said.

"They've actually thought about each wall as an opportunity for interest, and it's not too much."

Shaynna loved so much of the room but criticised the placement of the bathtub.

"I don't know why everyone thinks a bath has to be whacked up against a wall," she said. "You've got all this space. They could've really actually orientated the bath, so it came into the room more... You would've felt more luxurious."

The judges also noted that the couple being carpenters meant they should have had a better idea of spatial planning.

Darren couldn't help but criticise the corking and lack of grouting, describing it as "messy".

However, the judges were impressed with the "great choices" Dylan and Jenny had made.

Omar and Oz.

Money spent: $26,473

Omar and Oz had their own set of personal challenges but somehow managed to bring forward a completed space - and it paid off because the judges were obsessed with their room this week.

Upon walking into House Five's bathroom, the judges were mind blown.

"Omar and Oz are on their way to becoming the bathroom kings," said Neale, before the judges stepped into the walk-through shower.

"This is so good," said Shaynna and Neale agreed.

"This is ingenious and it's unexpected just like the first bathroom they delivered weeks ago."

Darren loved the bathtub and noted that no matter where you sit, you get an incredible view.

"It's a bathtub made for two and both of you get a view," he said.

The judges were impressed with how Omar and Oz's bathroom was not as large as the other contestants, but was "done well".

"The way that they've allocated a third of this room to the shower and a quarter of the room to the bathtub just shows you that there's scale. There are opportunities for grandeur and big statements," noted Darren.

"The layout is revolutionary."
