2 private planes and $60,000 on food: Exactly how Kyle Sandilands spent $500k on a three-week honeymoon.

Kyle Sandilands is showing us how the other half live. 

The Kyle and Jackie O Show host married Tegan Kynaston, the mother of his one-year-old son Otto, in April, and for their honeymoon, the pair gallivanted (!) through Europe for three weeks. 

Aside from his new bride and son, he was also joined by Jackie Henderson and a few of his producers from the Kyle and Jackie O radio show.

Now that he's back, he shared, IN DEPTH, exactly how he spent half a million dollars during his honeymoon and it was clear he spared no expense.

Earlier this week, Sandilands shared he spent $80,000 on two private planes to fly him and his family from Paris to Saint-Tropez and from Saint-Tropez to Barcelona, because he "couldn't bear the thought of getting on an economy plane".

"I always think it's worth it," he reasoned. "Fly private, there's no better way, in all honesty."

Apart from the private flight(s), he also paid $25,000 to have a driver for the entire trip "in case someone wanted to go somewhere" and $3000 to keep a "little wooden speedboat" on standby. 

"I think I got on [the boat] once. Tegan was on it a few times," he clarified on air. 

"Last minute" he spent $7500 for one of his producers to fly out to meet them in Europe, while Sandilands and Henderson conducted some of their radio show overseas. 

His co-star revealed he didn't spare any expense while eating either and spent $60,000 on meals during their trip.

In his defence, he only ate out at expensive restaurants while abroad and took out his colleagues a few times as a treat. 

Sandilands admitted that despite not drinking alcohol, he paid $12,650 on booze and "expensive champagne."

"This is where I’m a wanker. I tip huge and I don't know why," he confessed. 

"Tegan’s always like, 'Babe, you don't need to tip that much'. It's always either whatever the cost of the food is or half of the cost of the food, I tip well."

Henderson shared the waiters were "quite surprised when [he] tipped them" in France because they "don't expect tips over there."

"Actually you got me there, you're right," Sandilands responded. "That was stupid, I could've saved that."

The radio host also admitted to spending $3500 on travel insurance, $3500 on jet skis, $5000 on cigarettes and vapes, plus an "accidental" $6000 at the casino.

Sandilands shared he also paid $21,000 to provide for his nanny’s food, travel and accommodation. 

Henderson calculated her co-host spent $513,430 on his honeymoon.

"You can’t replace those memories," he said before admitting he didn't actually have that "many memories" because he was "high for most of [the trip]."

"By the way, you don't have to beep that out because you're allowed to smoke weed in France and you're allowed to be as stoned as a mother-effer in Spain," he said.

"If I flick back through Tegan's Instagram photos I'm sure the memories will come flooding back."
