It's arrived. Kendall Jenner's 818 Tequila has officially touched down on Australian soil. But, If you're unfamiliar with the model's side gig, allow us to get you up to speed.
In May 2021, Jenner announced the launch of her 818 Tequila range via a post to her Instagram. She wrote, "For almost four years I've been on a journey to create the best tasting tequila."
Jenner is just the latest of a long list of celebrities to launch their own alcohol brand. Jenner now joining the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Margot Robbie, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and George Clooney in the alcohol industry.
But it hasn't been all smooth sailing for Jenner and her brand. She has faced some serious backlash and controversy since its initial launch.

Arguably the most intense being over a commercial that aired with the model riding through a field of agave plants. Critics accused Jenner of appropriating and exploiting the Latin American culture and they were swift to label the appropriation an attempt to monetise 'migrant chic'.
Fortunately for the model, the incident didn't seem to impact the demand. And despite the criticism, has created a more than a desired name for itself.
The range includes three variations, the 818 Tequila Blanco, 818 Tequila Reposado and, top-of-the-line, the 818 Tequila Añejo - all of which are now available in Australia.
So does it stand up to the hype and most importantly, should you try it? Or is this just another one of the Kardashian PR tricks we've fallen for?
