Bowls of cigarettes, 'human hearts' and school buses. The most unconventional celebrity weddings.

If money were no object, our weddings would probably be made up of a million dollars worth of fresh flowers and a gown handcrafted by Zuhair Murad himself.

For us, it's a picture straight out of a fairytale — a dream entirely out of reach.

Celebrities, on the other hand, have stylists, decorators and planners at their disposal, helping them execute the vision they've crafted in their minds.

But sometimes celebrities stray from conventional wedding traditions and opt for ceremonies and details that are... unique.

From getting married in a school bus to having an Elvis impersonator as the officiant, here are the most interesting ways celebs have chosen to celebrate their union.

The most recent celebrity couple to tie the knot are Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae. Actually, that's not entirely true. The pair have been married for two years now, however, the actress just recently announced the news on Instagram.

The secret wedding included "anatomically correct" heart cakes dripping with crimson which they took great pleasure in biting into. And the overall day featured heavy gothic themes throughout.

They may have called it quits after five years of marriage, but Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy's wedding was nothing short of... memorable? The ceremony was held in a private home in Manhattan and was decorated with several bowls filled with cigarettes. Yep, good old durries.

Despite mobile phones being banned for privacy, a source ended up revealing that guests chain-smoked the whole night.

If that doesn't scream bridal, we don't know what does.

Olivia Wilde is best known for her filmmaking, however, before she met Jason Sudeikis and Harry Styles, the 19-year-old married Italian prince Tao Ruspoli. Although, this was nothing like a royal wedding.

The former couple exchanged vows on a school bus that Tao also lived in.

The two went on to have a more traditional ceremony in Virginia later on.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas.

Another couple that sadly didn't go the distance (we're sensing a theme here!)

Before Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony in Paris surrounded by friends and family, the two legally wed in Las Vegas right after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

The guest list included Kevin and Nick Jonas, Diplo and country duo Dan and Shay. But the funniest part about all of this was that an Elvis impersonator officiated the wedding.

She's currently keeping busy by reviewing different places in Sydney over on TikTok, but in 2010, Bethenny Frankel made headlines when she peed in a bucket at her wedding.

Unfortunately, there was no bathroom near the aisle, so she had to improvise while her assistant and wedding planner held up her dress. Let's hope they got compensated fairly.

Sean Parker and Alexandra Lenas.

In 2013, tech billionaire Sean Parker and singer Alexandra Lenas celebrated their union in an extravagant Lord of the Rings-themed wedding.

All 364 guests wore custom-made costumes designed by Ngila Dickson, the costume designer for LOTR, and their first dance was to Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid

After nine years together, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt wed in an intimate family ceremony in 2014. Taking place at the couple's French chateau, both Jolie and Pitt made sure their kids were involved in every step of the way, including the wedding dress.

The actress's gown featured dozens of drawings created by her six children sewn into the trail and on the back. Sadly, the marriage took a turn for the worse, and the pair got divorced in 2019.

Dianna Agron had an unconventional wedding but in the best way possible.

The Glee star married Mumford & Son's Winston Marshall in a stunning destination wedding in Morocco in 2016.

The three-day affair featured camels, stunning deserts and a beige embellished wedding dress by Valentino.

Unfortunately, the two parted ways in 2020.

Carrie Bradshaw may have chosen a gargantuan Vivienne Westwood gown for her wedding to Mr Big, but in real life, Sarah Jessica Parker went for a more toned-down approach.

On May 19, 1997, Parker and Matthew Broderick invited their friends to a standard party which turned out to be a surprise wedding. But that's not even the best part.

Parker chose to wear a black wedding gown to not attract any attention. But ironically, the fashion moment set trends for brides all over the world.
