Michelle Gigger collects her kids' phones every night. They decided to take their revenge.

Michelle Gigger has a rule for her children – no phones or iPads at night.

So come bedtime, everyday the mum-of-four collects all the devices from her kids and stores them in her own room.

Pretty standard for a modern parent, right?

But what she wasn’t anticipating was the children to plot their revenge.

Gigger shared what happened next in a tweet that’s since gone viral, liked over 150,000 times.

“I collect all cell phones and iPads from the kids at night and keep them in my room,” she wrote.

“Last night those little ***holes all set alarms to go off at various times throughout the night. I’m impressed with their ingenuity and team effort.”

Genius. A nightmare.

Don’t think they got away with it scott free, though.

Gigger said she had grounded them all as punishment for their quite frankly resourceful prank from two eight year olds, an 11 and 13 year old.

Other parents couldn’t help but see the funny side.

“They are great kids,” she later added.
