Kim Kardashian and Kanye West broke their own rule of not putting their home on social media for a very important reason last weekend: to show off Kanye’s, uh,intensebirthday present to his wife.

The pair both showed off the floral tributes and the pianist Kanye (who wants to be called just ‘Ye’ from now on) organised for Kim’s 38th birthday. The videos give us a glance into the mansion they bought in 2014 for $20 million but something seems… off.

That is, there’s basically nothing in it.

Kim’s videos show a couple of big, open plan rooms with just a large black and white artwork and a bare white set of dining table and chairs.

In Kanye’s video shared on Twitter, five-year-old North and two-year-old Saint West can be seen running around in the background. This could be considered risky, but don’t worry, there’s no chance of them tripping over a toy or stepping on some Lego. Because there is none.

Kim has said in the past that she likes a minimalist look, and their house is in fact seen onKeeping Up With The Kardashians.But you’d be forgiven for not realising that, as the lack ofanythingmakes it seem more like a blank TV set than a home.

Where the heck is their furniture? The dog-eared books? The cushions? The family photos? A bloomin’ couch?

This. Is. Stressful.

The strangest thing of all is that the house, from what we’ve seen, shows no sign that children live there. The Wests have three kids, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from these images. Yet when children live anywhere else the entire space is taken over by theirstuff. So much stuff.

If Kim and Kanye like their home that’s really all that matters, but we’re not the only ones who have realised how odd their lack of decor is.
