Grab a comb. The new 'must-have' eyebrow trend is tricky.

The trend for big and bushy eyebrows has been around for a while, but the latest look goes even, ahem, bigger.

Say hello to ‘Feather brows’.

No, we’re not talking feather touch brows, the hugely popular tattooing technique but rather brows inspired by actual feathers. As in, bird feathers.

First posted by Finnish makeup artist Stella Sironen on her Instagram page last week, the look quickly went viral.

There were two camps – those that loved it and those that were less than impressed.

“Please stop this trend,” wrote one follower, while another disagreed adding “EVERYONE is doing it now! Every time I see someone doing this I HAVE to tell them it’s you behind the idea.”

“Maybe not for an everyday look,” another commenter wrote.

Within hours, plenty of other beauty YouTubers and makeup artists were creating their own versions.

Some even added glitter.

But if you think it’s too weird to be true, you may be on to something.

“Note to self: when you make a joke about starting a funny brow trend people will take it seriously and…. well start the trend,” Sironen wrote on Instagram.

Listen: Speaking of strange trends, botox for your butthole is now a thing.Post continues below.

She also clarified that she was joking about starting a trend not the actual makeup, explaining that makeup was all about creativity and experimentation.

“I know that brows are a sacred part of the face but consider this: there is lip art and eye art and tons of different forms of creative makeup, why is experimenting with brows so strange?”

And for all those who were leaving nasty comments, Sironen got the final – and hilarious – word.

ok so obviously this has gotten out of hand and it’s hilarious and amazing but i wanted to clarify some stuff: 1. i joked about starting a trend in the caption of my first pic not about the actual makeup 2. drag queens have used glue on their brows since forever so please don’t credit me for that lol 3. i know that brows are a sacred part of the face but consider this: there is lip art and eye art and tons of different forms of creative makeup, why is experimenting with brows so strange? shoutout to @popsugarbeauty, @huffpostwomen and @dailymail for making the best articles about this, go read them! and i can’t thank you guys enough for your support, this feels unreal❤️ peacock feather brow: @cameleonfinland body paints, @katvondbeauty tattoo liner in Trooper, @anastasiabeverlyhills dipbrow pomade in Dark Brown, glue stick skin: @maccosmetics next to nothing Light Plus, pro longwear concealer in NC15 lower lid: @makeupstore Romantic Garden & Emerald eye pencils liner: @toofaced chocolate bar palette (Triple Fudge) lashes: @grimassuomi 325
