Stan’s thrilling series Your Honor is back for a second season and the stakes are higher than ever.

When Your Honor first landed on our screens in 2020, the series broke network viewership records in the US.

Now the internationally acclaimed Stan series is back for a second season and thanks to where the show left us in season one, the stakes are even higher this time around.

Much of the initial excitement around the launch of Your Honor was tied to Bryan Cranston taking on the show's lead role as a New Orleans judge named Michael Desiato.

While audiences first came to love Cranston via the fan-favourite sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, it was his iconic performance as Walter White in Breaking Bad that cemented him as TV royalty, and added to his awards stash which includes six Primetime Emmy Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Tony Awards, and a Golden Globe Award, along with Academy Award and BAFTA Award nominations.

Take a look at the trailer for Your Honor season two on Stan.

In season one of Your Honor, which is an adaptation of an Israeli TV series called Kvodo, we are introduced to Bryan Cranston's powerful judge Michael Desiato, whose home and family life are incredibly strained.

It's been one year since the death of Michael’s wife and her murder still remains unsolved. Leading to Michael and his 17-year-old son Adam (Hunter Doohan) now having an incredibly shaky relationship.

Tragedy then hits the family again when, on the anniversary of his mother's death, Adam suffers an asthma attack while behind the wheel and drives directly into a teenager named Rocco on a motorcycle.

Adam initially attempts to resuscitate the injured boy, but after watching him die, he then makes a life-altering decision and flees the scene.

Michael is initially adamant that his son inform the police about the incident, since it was an accident, but immediately changes his mind when he learns that the dead boy's father is a powerful local crime boss called Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg).

In order to keep his own son alive, Michael decides to cover up Adam's part in the death, setting off a tense and dangerous chain of events that had audiences on the edge of their seats during the first season of the series.

Your Honor is a slick and well-crafted crime drama featuring an impressive cast of actors, all tied together by a powerhouse performance by Bryan Cranston as a father willing to lose everything to protect his only son.

Season one of Your Honor culminated in many more characters learning about Michael and Adam's deadly secret, other people being caught in the crossfire of their decisions, and a main character being put in a life-or-death situation during the final moments of the nail-biting finale.

Season two promises to keep the action going, with more people becoming aware of how Michael has been covering up the events of that night and more secrets quickly coming to light.

The roster of guest stars returning for season two will also add an extra layer of star power to the series.

The series is executive produced by Emmy nominees Robert and Michelle King (The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Evil) and Liz Glotzer (Evil, The Good Fight), with Joey Hartstone (The Good Fight) serving as showrunner and executive producer for season two.

Your Honor is a gripping series that is ultimately the story of two different families who both make two difficult and dangerous decisions to protect the ones they love, but ultimately only ends up creating a more sinister game for everyone to play.

If you're looking for a suspenseful drama with both heart and smarts, Your Honor needs to be at the top of your must-watch list.

The brand new season of Your Honor premieres January 14, same day as the US and only on Stan. Every episode of Your Honor Season 1 is now streaming, only on Stan.
