'This product promises seriously plump, juicy skin. Here's my verdict.'

Calling all serum and skincare lovers. If you’re reading, you’re probably one of them. Hello and welcome. 

If you're like me and are always on the lookout for skincare gems that actually deliver on their promises, then you're in for a treat. 

Why you ask? Oh, because I’m about to deliver you a goodie. For the past week I’ve been trialling Viviology's Niacinamide + HA Serum and not to give away any spoilers this early on, but I’ve already seen results in my skin.

Let's kick things off with a quick little overview of the Viviology brand.

Viviology was created by skincare specialist and dermal therapist James Vivian, in collaboration with online beauty retailer, Adore Beauty. Adore Beauty's co-founder, Kate Morris, was a regular at James' Toorak-based clinic before the pair joined forces to create the cosmeceutical brand — which at its core, offers confusion-free skincare that prioritises visible results.

Now, onto the star of the show – Viviology's Niacinamide + HA Serum. At $55 for a 30ml bottle, this serum is not only affordable but has so far delivered on its promises (and it’s only been one week!).

What sets this serum apart? Let's break it down. Firstly, it's an everyday serum that gives your skin that targeted and intense hydration. The product also uses niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to help brighten dullness, even out skin tone and maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier.

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, also helps improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of pores, and strengthen the skin's barrier function. Paired with hyaluronic acid… this serum is what my personal hydration dreams are made of. 

My skin type and goals.

Before diving into my trial experience, let me give you a bit of context about my skin, and bear with me because she is... picky. 

As someone who has tried countless skincare products over the years, I'm no stranger to disappointment as I’ve noticed that, in my 20s, my skin concerns are constantly changing.

I have combination skin with occasional bouts of dryness, especially during the colder months (aka right now). My main concerns include dullness and uneven skin texture, which is why I was particularly excited to put this serum to the test.

After one week.

From the moment I incorporated Viviology's Niacinamide + HA Serum into my skincare routine, I became a big fan. The consistency of the serum is super light and a little goes a long way. My skin drinks it up so quickly and it doesn’t leave a greasy sheen like some other skincare products. The rest of my skincare products work so well with it and my makeup also glides on perfectly… It’s like I don’t even have the serum on. 

During my trial, I noticed an improvement in my skin's texture and overall hydration levels. My complexion looked brighter and more radiant. I started using the product daily in the morning after cleansing but after the first few days, I also started incorporating it into my evening skincare routine, allowing the hydration to sink in throughout the night.  

I was pretty shocked that I could see small, yet visible changes to my skin from such a short period. Not only did the serum help to even out my skin tone and reduce the appearance of dullness, but it also left my complexion looking juicy and (if I may) delicious.

My verdict.

As someone who has tried A LOT of different types of skincare products including serums, I’d admit, I was hesitant to try this one from Viviology. Skincare disappointment is something that is rarely talked about but it’s so widely experienced. 

Noticing subtle changes in my skin from trialling this serum isn’t a common experience of mine when it comes to skincare products. My skin looked brighter and more even-toned, which is something that I could previously never nail during the winter months. Even my stubborn acne scars seemed visibly lighter, which was a welcome bonus. The best part? The hydration boost was still going strong. I could tell that the serum lasted the whole day because my skin was still soft during the evenings and even when my makeup faded, the brightness of my undertones didn’t fade. 

I can confidently say that Viviology's Niacinamide + HA Serum has earned a permanent spot in my skincare routine. Its ability to deliver targeted hydration and visible results is truly impressive, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to achieve the same skin goals that I had.
