The top TV shows that defined the '90s

If you think that 1990 was about 10 years ago, you’re not alone.  It’s hard to comprehend that we were watching Rachel and Ross and their unresolved sexual tension on Friends, over TWENTY years ago. But we were.

In the ’90s, flip phones, baggy pants and grunge dominated our lives, and for better or worse, so too did the ‘Rachel’ hair style. Technically, it was still a fairly simple time where we were only on the cusp of understanding the life-changing impact of the ‘world wide web’. The likelihood of carrying a palm-sized computer in our pockets was about as likely as riding a golden unicorn bareback.

Try this: I haven’t been bored since the ’90s

Despite the enormous amount of TV shows on offer during the ’90s, only a select few of these truly epitomised the decade and more than likely, our memories will depend on whether we were children, teenagers or adults at the time. With that in mind, we’ve put together this definitive list of the top 23 TV shows that defined the ’90s..
