It's called "baby mugging" and it has nothing to do with stealing your child's piggy bank when they're not looking.
"Baby mugging" involves posting photographs to Instagram of kids looking like they are in a mug. It's so cute and a great way to keep yourself entertained when your coffee cup is empty.
Ilana Wiles of Mommy Shorts, who started the trend, explains how to achieve the desired result:
1. Put your baby on the floor (or a flat surface)
2. Hold a mug in front of your baby
3. Snap a photo and share it
