A world first twist and $250,000 prize: Everything we know about The Amazing Race Australia 2022.

Last season, The Amazing Race Australia contestants raced around different locations in Australia due to difficulties with the international border (read: COVID told us to stay home). 

However, this year 20 teams will be travelling across six continents including Turkey, Greece, Belize, Morocco, Mexico and Colombia. Yes, international travel is back!

And in a world first, two separate groups of 10 teams will race - one in Melbourne, the other in Sydney - and they have no knowledge of the other team. Each group will compete across Morocco before they meet up in the second leg.

Beau Ryan will once again host this season. The pair who manages to win the competition will take home $250,000 (the biggest prize in Australia's Amazing Race history!) and two brand new cars - an Isuzu D-MAX and an Isuzu MU-X.

Angel and Frankie, QLD.

Bren and Anja, WA.

Chelsea and Jamus, QLD.

Chelsea and Jamus are an engaged couple with two children. If they win, they plan to buy their dream home. 

Crystal and Reem, NSW.

Crystal and Reem have been best friends for over 14 years.

Flick and Gabby, VIC.

Flick and Gabby are sisters and work side-by-side at their café every day.

Fliss and Tottie, NSW.

Heath and Toni are a married couple from Victoria with an immense love for fitness.

Jake and Holly have been dating for three years. Just a few months into dating, Jake was in a motorbike accident and while undergoing rehabilitation, he also discovered he had throat cancer. The pair have overcome immense obstacles, making them fierce competition on The Amazing Race.

Jodie and Claire, NSW.

Jodie and Claire have been best friends for 15 years and are dragon boat teammates.

Kathy and Chace, NSW.

Kathy and Chace have grown up together and both work as lawyers.

Tammy and Vincent, VIC and QLD.

Tammy and Vincent are siblings hailing from Victoria and Queensland. The pair are two of seven children and are part of a "nerdy science family".

Tiffany and Cynthia, WA.

Tiffany and Cynthia are an aunty and niece duo. The pair come from an intensely proud Aboriginal family in the Pilbara and Kimberley region.
