I really, really like Adele. I don’t know her. But I really, really like her.
There aren’t many celebrities I get all that invested in. But in Adele, I do. Probably because I get the sense she wouldn’t care if I was invested in her or not. Actually, precisely for that reason.
Sure, sure. I know. Dancing isn’t all that earth-shattering.
But how many people in the world could stand in front of a camera for about three and a half minutes, sing, sway a little bit, rock a floral floor length dress and capture your attention for the entire time?
Adele's latest film clip for her newest single, Send My Love (To Your New Lover), does all of that. Plus it has a little kaleidoscopic video effect that make you feel a tad dizzy and wonder why Adele has three heads and five arms. But that's besides the point.
It's an unusual step for the talented singer, who is renowned for letting her singing do the talking in almost all her her performances and music videos to date.
And we're not the only ones surprised at Adele's sudden desire to get moving. Adele is just as surprised as we are, telling a concert in Stockholm in April thst it was a different experience for her.
"[For this song] we've got a really cool video, we did it on Monday... And you'll not believe it, but I’m dancing in it. Can you believe it? Lost all of my inhibitions. It was actually really fun."
