It seems the Queen of England has been doin’ a troll.

In case you missed it, in the last week Queen Elizabeth met with President Donald Trump during his official visit to the UK.

While the Queen was her usual diplomatic self, she may have thrown a lil’ shade Trump’s way via her brooches.

Yep, her brooches.

Averyclever Twitter user named Julie has been reading up about the Queen’s jewels on a blog called Her Majesty’s Jewel Vault .

As a result of her “extensive research”, Julie believes the Queen was sending some subtle messages to Trump through her brooches.

The Queen wore three brooches during Trump’s visit.

On the first day, during Trump’s arrival, the Queen donned a brooch that was gifted to her by the Obamas during their last visit to England.

That by itself is amusing enough. She wore a brooch the Obamas gave her. But it gets better. It’s not AN American brooch, any would be funny. She chose THIS ONE. This one was purchased out-of-pocket by Michelle and Barack Obama and given to her as a personal gift.

The brooch was reportedly purchased with the Obamas’ own money and represents her friendship with the former president and first lady.

“They chose a very modest pin made of very modest materials. The message is ‘Here is a gift of something you like, with only sentimental value because it’s for friendship not state visits’,” writes Julie.

“She chose the most SENTIMENTAL piece in the collection, the one that was given OUT OF FRIENDSHIP WITH THE OBAMAS AS PEOPLE.”

The next day, while the Queen met with the King and Queen of Belgium, she wore a brooch that was gifted to her from Canada.

“You know, who Trump’s been screaming about and insulting. The commonwealth country and one of the UK’s greatest allies. Them,” explains all-knowing Julie.

Then on the third day, during her tea with Trump and Melania, the Queen wore a brooch that she inherited from her mother.

“Jewel watchers nearly died, because it is the brooch worn in the famous ‘Three Queens in Mourning’ photo, worn by the Queen Mum,” explains Julie.

“QE rolled up to tea with the Trumps wearing the brooch her mother wore to her father’s STATE FUNERAL.”
