Wow. What a ride haha. 

Thankfully & luckily there are thousands of much better books to read our children now. The way people used to write about others is uncomfortable to read to small children but we simply just choose other books. I understand they’re changing them because of money but I do think they should be left alone. Give new, nicer, more inclusive writers a go.
