Classic Narcissist, with every admission of something she did wrong, there was an excuse - health etc. one thing after another. Such a familiar story and so superficial, I am sure there is deep seated emotional neglect here. There are 3 children and they are male (who r less likely, statistically, to go no contact). She is definitely the problem.
Nope. Most of these would not work, especially the last one. I am 16e and would not get support and/or be held in when jumping in the surf or a pool. Where did you get this list? Looks like a phoning it in article...
Made me check myself and my conversation skills.
Love this! Reminds me not to check emails on my phone out of hours. The benefits of working for a large company- it's not my business, no one will die if the emails wait.
Is that photo of cody and robin wrong?
Totally agree, why do we question when someone doesn't follow the rule book?? We only have 1 child. The questions we get! Just the 1? Hpw old is her sibling? Why don't u have 2? Won't she be lonely?
Thank you, this story is a text book journey for me. Only thing u can do is go no contact. It's hard to explain to people cos it's not something u do lightly.
I lived in Greys and blacks until about 45 and now my wardrobe is a rainbow, my shoes rack sparkles (with flat shoes) and I have 1000s of colourful earrings I mostly made myself. Viva la middle age!
I know how hard it is to describe this situation and family dynamic. Mine was the same but with mother and father role reversed. I am sad how little I could see my dad before he died but I had to protect myself and my family from my mother. I hope you can continue to heal.
Totally agree, and unimpressed with snorks snarky comment.
Fantastic article, so well said and succinctly written.
I cant find the second part to the Charlotte Dawson story, can you comment me a link to it?
Loved her latest book!
I have an 8yr old girl and I really appreciated the message to be prepared for the teenage years. I am aware of a few parents of teenagers having stressful mental health periods. But it hasn't really sunk in that I should be ready to be there for my girl in high school. Very good to know!
