Just listened to the podcast about this incident. I'm unsubscribing. Disgusted with how it seems the deceased in question was under so much more scrutiny in this podcast than anyone else involved.
It would be great to discuss how women are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer's disease. It used to be assumed its because they live longer, but the risk is much higher even when compared with men of the same age. I don't think the risk is increased for other types of dementia. With women also much more likely to end up being caregivers for a family member with dementia, as well as being much more likely to end up in a nursing home, it's a very gendered issue.
