Seriously, this is the first article I get to read this morning.  I think Australia should be a Republic but didn't give it a break for a moment. Will go back to reading the age.

@yeahyepyes yes you are correct in the creation of US abortion laws and  I would argue that there are many states with less democratic processes than the US. Democracy is in decline around the globe and has in decline since 2003. The forces that came about to overturn Roe v Wade what not up to a standard of democracy  I would aspire to. American institutions are failing them and it’s is a sad thing to see. 

@yeahyepyes I would argue that since democracy has been in steady decline since 2013 we are watching democracy crumbles. Yes, abortion laws are decided at state level and yes there are countries even less democratic than US. Americas democratic institutions are failing them and it’s sad to watch it occur. 

Does anyone else read this and just think WTF? It’s utterly demoralising watching democracy crumble.

I had this as well for both of my pregnancies. Everyone just told me it was just morning sickness. I couldn’t understand what was going on with me. I would even wake up from my sleep to vomit because of the nausea. The nausea and relentless vomiting did not stop at all for my pregnancies. I wish I had advocated for myself and got more help than a tablet that didn’t really do anything. 

I loved this article. Well written and a beautiful story to tell. There needs to be more stories written about and by people with special needs.
