I'm 57, a size 22. It has been about 40 years since I've walked on the beach in swimwear or swam in the ocean or sunbaked. Not since I was a socially acceptable size 8-10.... For 40 years I've been "appropriately" covered on the beach so as not offend anybody's comfort level by the sight of my body or to feel the heavy weight of other's disapproving stares.
