Calling all avocado lovers.

Unless you are making a giant salad for a party, you most likely will only use half an avocado at a time.

And if you have, you have probably found that nothing works in storing that pesky other half. Every idea you’ve had has resulted in brown avocado, right?

And no one likes brown avocado.

However, this brilliant chef has come up with a genius idea. And don’t worry, you won’t have to buy anything. Oh and the magic tool is probably sitting in your kitchen right now.

Meet Stephen Gibbs, executive chef of Hands On Gourmet.

Grab an onion and cut it into chunky pieces.

Place the onion at the bottom of a tub, with the avocado with the pip on top.

Cover and place in the fridge.

If you used lemon, you could have this.

And with tap water you could have had this.

Trusty cling wrap would have given you this.

But instead, you get to have this.
