Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne split after 33 years of marriage.

One of rock’s most famous couples, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, may be splitting up after over 33 years of marriage.

According to various sources including E News and The Sun newspaper, the Black Sabbath singer and his wife “mutually agreed” that he would temporarily leave the family home.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed the news, telling the media, “At this time, Ozzy is not in the marital home.”

It is reported that Sharon Osbourne, 63, has called the split because she believes that husband, Ozzy, 67, has been cheating on her with celebrity hairstylist Michelle Pugh, 45.

The couple met when Ozzy was with heavy metal band Black Sabbath and Sharon later became his manager.

Between 2000 and 2005 the MTV reality show “The Osbournes” revived their careers – and that of their three kids Aimee, 32, Kelly, 31, and Jack, 30.

This isn't the first time the couple has called it quits.

In 1989, Ozzy was arrested for attempted murder after trying to strangle his wife while intoxicated, and entered a drug rehabilitation facility for a three month stint.

In 2013 the rockstar relapsed, but reassured worried fans in a Facebook post that he and Sharon were working through it.

“For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs,” he wrote.

“I was in a very dark place and was an asshole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober. Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I am just trying to be a better person. I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my bandmates for my insane behavior during this period………and my fans. God Bless, Ozzy.”

Reportedly, drugs and alcohol are not the reason for the couple's split this time round.

People Magazine reports that a source told that magazine “the rumors of the split are "sort of true", but that the on-again off-again couple will inevitably get back together.

"He’ll be back," the source said decidedly.
