real life

One tweet was all it took to make this guy famous. And it was a bloody glorious tweet.

Chris Scott (@iamchrisscott) is just a regular guy with a couple hundred twitter followers.

At least, he used to have just a couple hundred twitter followers, until he sent this glorious tweet:

Cut to 20,548 retweets, 30,533 favourites, 110,000 likes on Tumblr and a viral meme in his honour.

When you consider that fact he’s not a celebrity, Chris Scott may have just won Twitter.

He told Business Insider that initially, the tweet was a little more popular than normal, but it didn’t really take off until a month later, after it was retweeted by comedian Mary Charlene.

Now all you have to do is type ‘Oh Hi Becky’ into google to see that Chris Scott is possibly the most famous unfamous person on Twitter.

And for good bloody reason.

If you ever want to know how to nail a tweet, Chris Scott has officially shown you how it’s done.

Well played, sir. Well played.
