With a little more time on our hands over the summer break, us folks at Mamamia have been shopping... a lot. But can you blame us? Rather than doom-scrolling, finding cute things online to add to our wardrobes seemed more constructive.

From new clothes to shoes and accessories, here are some of our recent buys we'll be putting to good use in 2022 - no matter what the year throws at us.

Atmos & Here Harper Linen Wrap Dress, $99.99.

"I bought this black linen wrap dress from Atmos and Here. I love the shape as it accentuates the waist and I’m obsessed with the puffed sleeves." - Polly Taylor, Commissioning Editor.

ASOS DESIGN Note knotted platform heeled sandals in gold, $70.

"I bought these shoes for a recent hen's party and I'm completely in love with them. As someone whose wardrobe is mostly neutrals, these were way out of my comfort zone, but ever since they arrived they've brought me so much joy (even just sitting in my closet). They come in two fits - normal and wide - and are super comfortable because of the platform base. I received so many compliments on them." - Charlotte Begg, Lifestyle Writer.

Cotton On Body Relaxed Beach Jumpsuit, $39.99.

"I bought this cute jumpsuit and I’ve been wearing it so much I’ve ordered one in another colour. It’s super easy to wear - I love that I can just chuck it on and head to the beach or down the road for coffee. It’s also perfect for wearing while working from home!" - Leah Porges, Podcast Producer.

The Fated Reece Mini Dress, $129.95.

"I received this as a birthday gift. It’s giving gingham. It’s giving picnic. It’s giving enough cleavage but not too much. It’s hard to jump on the puff sleeve trend without feeling like a linebacker and this dress feels like the perfect balance. Have been stuck in isolation so it’s still waiting for a public debut." - Susannah Makin, Content Marketing Assistant.

Hera Denim Freya Jeans, $289.

"I was sent these jeans by Australian lady startup Hera Denim to trial and I have to say, the fit is absolutely perfect. They're designed for women with curvy bums, hips and thighs, who often have trouble with the 'waist gap' when shopping for denim. It feels like they were made just for me - tight at the top and slouchy at the bottom, with a timeless cut that'll transcend trends. My only criticism would be that I have to cuff them because of my short legs! Consider them an investment in great quality denim." - Tamara Davis, Head of Lifestyle and co-host of What Are You Wearing?.

Lucy Folk Dramme Friendship Band - Yellow Gold Plate, $95.

"I got this as a Christmas present (that I chose for myself) and it's the perfect pop of colour. I wear it every day and it makes me happy and smiley - I now want more! There are so many colour variations and styles to pick from in store." - Charlotte Begg, Lifestyle Writer.

The Minority Co "AWAWB" T-shirt, $60.

"I bought this shirt from The Minority Co and I love it so much. I've gotten heaps of compliments on it and been asked where I got it from. The pink is my fave but I might need the yellow as well!" - Rose Kerr, Podcast Producer.

Kinney Sia Dress, $181.30.

"I recently bought this dress - it's such a dream, the cotton is so soft and woven, it feels a bit like silk. I'm tall and I struggle to find dresses that are actually full length/long on me and this is perfect. It instantly makes me feel fun, is so comfy you can go braless and is made sustainably, so while it's a bit more expensive, its good for the planet and will last forever. IT ALSO HAS POCKETS." - Lily Allsep, Audience Development Manager.

Lovisa Gold Extension Chain, $3.99.

"I recently got some necklace and bracelet extenders as most jewellery doesn’t fit around my neck unfortunately! It’s been a dream, because I can add so much more jewellery to my collection. It’s also great for those wanting to add a bit of length to their pieces." - Shannen Findlay, News Writer.

Brie Leon The Fae Bag, $95.

Girl And The Sun Sundown Top, $84.99, and Maude Shorts, $74.99.

"I was sent this shirt and shorts set just before I went away for a few days and I practically lived in it. It's such an easy outfit to chuck on over swimmers or dress up with some gold jewellery and sandals for lunch. It's become my staple summer outfit." - Charlotte Begg, Lifestyle Writer.

Gucci Women's slide with Double G, $1,010.

"After many many months of deliberation, I finally splurged on a pair of Gucci slides. I wanted statement flats I could wear to the office or on the weekend - I'm not a heel girl, so these were the right choice for my wardrobe. They're super comfortable and go with everything. I would very rarely spend this amount of money on a piece, but as they said in the movie House Of Gucci, "The quality lasts long after the money is forgotten." - Tamara Davis, Head of Lifestyle and co-host of What Are You Wearing?.
