We’ve all done it: left a regrettable voicemail message that we definitely wish we could erase the second we hang up.
Unfortunately for one loyal Gelato Messina customer, a message she left for the popular store on New Year’s Eve has been shared online, and has since been heard over 228,0000 times.
In the hilarious message, which has been posted on the brand’s Facebook page, an unnamed woman made a heartbreaking call to the Fitzroy store when she realised it was closed in her hour of need.
“Are you really sorry that you are closed at 6pm on New Year’s Eve? Are you? Because you should be,” the woman begins.
“My New Year’s Eve is now ruined. I had plans to buy at least a litre and a half of Messina, as I do every week, and sit on my couch and eat it and then make New Year’s resolutions to never eat it again.”
SAME, Messina Woman, SAME.
In her 90-second long message, the woman proceeds to break up with the popular Gelato chain.
“I’m just sorry it had to end this way,” she sniffles.
“I hope you are sorry…I guess this is goodbye. It was fun while it lasted.”
Of course, any spur-of-the-moment voicemail breakup isn’t complete until there is a complete backtrack of everything that was just said.
