A thing you'll probably know: there are so many serums out there. SO many. And with new products literally popping up every three seconds, it can be mighty confusing knowing what's going to work for your skin and what's really worth spending on. 

And while everyone has different concerns they're looking to tackle, if we can all agree on one thing it's that we all want hydrated, plump and glowing skin. 

Go on, just try to show me someone who doesn't want those things. (Told ya.)

This is where cult formulas like L'Oréal Revitalift Filler 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum, $60 and L'Oréal Revitalift Filler Eye Serum, $55 come onto the scene. Heard of them? 

Validated with dermatologists, these highly effective formulations are bestsellers for a reason. In fact, L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Filler Hyaluronic Acid Face serum is the number 1 selling serum in the world. So, you know this stuff is good.

Scientifically formulated with a 1.5 per cent blend of three forms of pure hyaluronic acid, it works to not only deeply hydrate but also re-plump the appearance of your skin in just one hour. In one week, skin appears visibly plumper, firmer and glowing, with a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Used in combination with this powerhouse facial serum, the Revitalift Filler Anti-Ageing Eye Serum is also designed with 1.5 per cent pure hyaluronic acid, as well as 1 per cent pure caffeine to re-plump and smooth the look of eye lines, as well as reduce dark circles.

Sounds like a pretty good team to have in your skincare armoury, no?

Well, we decided to put these claims to the test.

Here, we asked three Mamamia writers from all different age groups and skin types to trial L'Oréal Revitalift Filler 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum and L'Oréal Revitalift Filler Eye Serum for 14 days to see whether these cult products actually deliver.

My dry skin girly prayers have been answered. I just trialled both these L'Oréal Paris Revitalift serums for 14 days and the results speak for themselves.

Starting off with the Face Serum, I was beyond impressed to see how quickly the product worked. In just one hour, I could visibly see my skin looking more plump and juicy, not to mention softer, smoother and most importantly, quenched. 

Packed with three types of hyaluronic acid, this product was an absolute treat for my dehydrated skin. The formula was lightweight, fast-absorbing, non-sticky and left a beautiful scent. All the things you want in a great serum.

Over the last two weeks, I routinely applied my serum twice a day. Once in the morning as the first product on my face and then again, after cleansing in the evening, making sure to follow up and lock all that hydration in for the night with my favourite moisturiser. 

I noticed my skin felt bouncier and fuller, and this was just from 14 days of use. I also noticed overall that any skin texture I had outside of minor breakouts, were smoothed out and my actual skin felt a lot softer in general. 

Trialling the Eye Serum felt like an added step of self-care in my morning routine and I was so here for it.

The cooling stainless steel applicator didn’t just allow for a smooth, even application of the serum but it was like giving my under eye area a little TLC too.

I'm not usually one for eye serums, but this product definitely made its case to have a permanent position in my morning routine.

If there's one thing I like to do to my forever-thirsty face, it's laden it with hyaluronic acid — so I jumped to get my thirsty mitts on this cult L'Oréal duo. 

And goodness. It really couldn't have come at a better time.

Because my skin. It's been in shambles. Thanks to the chillier weather, my face feels like a well-trodden foot — it's thirsty, dry and slightly irritated with almost everything I try to put on it. Also, I've been blessed with some snazzy hormonal breakouts around my chin. Lots and lots of new friends.

To top it off, as a lady in her early thirties, I'm starting to notice some rather persistent signs of ageing that are getting more noticeable as my skin gets more dehydrated — particularly those niggling lines around my eyes and deeper lines on my forehead.

This means that when it comes to serums, I not only want something that's deeply hydrating and nourishing but also something that will help firm, soften and visibly plump up my lines. A tall order — greedy, I know.

So, when L'Oréal Revitalift Filler 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum and L'Oréal Revitalift Filler Eye Serum wandered into my bathroom cabinet for this two-week trial, I had a feeling we were up for a good time. And while I try a lot of different skincare products as part of my job and find that consistency can be tricky — I have to say, this duo made it very easy. A dream, if you will.

Used as part of my morning and night routine after cleansing (and before moisturiser), L'Oréal Revitalift Filler 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum slid into my routine with ease, deeply replenishing my skin and giving it a hit of hydration. 

Together with this, it worked to plump out the look of my fine lines and wrinkles to make my skin look bouncy, happy and healthy-looking. Clever little thing.

And the under eye serum! We can't forget this. 

While I'm terribly erratic with eye products (too lazy), the L'Oréal Revitalift Filler Eye Serum had a hold over me. I couldn't tell if it was the fact that the cooling applicator helped de-puff my morning balloon eyes or the fact the formula smoothed out the look of my crow's feet and brightened dark circles — but gosh, it's just a very good time.

Overall, this duo has made visible, compliment-worthy results to my face over the course of 14 days. My skin doesn't have that roughness and irritation to it, and my entire complexion appears softer, more hydrated, plump and glowy.

And yes, I'll continue using them in my routine until I hit the very bottom of both bottles. Silly question.

I turned 40 last year and let's just say, although I am loving my new near 'mid' era, my skin hasn't exactly got the memo of evolving for the better in this next stage of life.
