US parents have pulled a prank on their daughter and it’s probably the most parent-y prank you’ll see this week.

Prepare yourself for some serious parent humour.

You see, when Jorji Kellogg asked for Lorde tickets for Christmas her parents decided to have a little fun with her.

Instead of giving her said Lorde tickets, they gave her tickets to the, erm, lord.

On Christmas morning they presented her with tickets to a Joel Osteen event – a televangelist who promises a “night with our lord and savior”.

They even included a cheeky message with the tickets that read, “Dad and I are so proud and happy that you want to grow your faith and spend time with the Lord!”

“Enjoy Pastor Joel Osteen at the Spirit Center!”

Kellogg shared the joke on Twitter and it immediately went viral, with many people appreciating the Kellogg’s twisted sense of humour.

This is about as great as the the girl who got tickets to the red hot chilli pipers instead of the red hot chili peppers

This is the best thing that 2017 has given us.

Luckily, Kellogg’s parents also gave her tickets to the Lourde concert, so she’ll get to have two nights with the, uh, lord.
