1. The fanciest birthday cake on Instagram today belongs to Kelsey Lee Clarke.

On the weekend, we can confirm with no certainty whatsoever that thousands of people around the world celebrated a birthday.

Most likely, this would have involved the popping of party poppers, the receiving of presents, and above all else… the eating of cake.

But of all the hundreds of birthday cakes that were consumed, the fanciest belonged to Kelsey Lee Clarke.

What a spectacular day to celebrate our little Angels 2 years on this wonderful land. The daughter of Australian cricketer, Michael Clarke and lifestyle entrepreneur, Kyly Clarke celebrated her second birthday on Sunday with the best bloody cake we’ve ever seen.

It had Smarties. It had macaroons. And a block of white chocolate, and lolly pops, and other edible fairy floss things we can’t identify but would really love to eat.

And just to make us feel even more inadequate, Kyle decorated it herself.

Here’s hoping we’re invited to the party next year.

2. Carrie Bickmore can’t keep her plants alive either, comes up with genius solution.

Give Carrie Bickmore a Nobel Peace Prize because she has just saved many an indoor plant from death by over-watering, under-watering, and general negligent care.

Admitting to being a serial plant killer, turns out it’s not just you, The Project host shared a very easy hack on Instagram, that will have slightly mad that you didn’t think of it sooner.

“Buy a plastic plant and put real soil in the pot and everyone will think it’s real!” she said.

3. Mean Girl: actress Bijou Phillips apologises to Daniel Franzese. 16 years later.

Good things comes to those who wait, and after 16 years, Bijou Phillips has apologised to Daniel Franzese.

The iconic Mean Girls star shared a Facebook post on Saturday, saying he suffered homophobic bullying and harassment at the hands of actress Phillips, when they worked together on independent film Bully (ironic, right?!) in 2001, years before Franzese shot to fame in 2004’s Mean Girls as everyone’s favourite character, Damian.

Franzese claims that he was bullied by Phillips over the course of filming, with Phillips taunting a closested Franzese over his sexuality and weight.

“The way I was treated in that hostile work environment gave me PTSD that had me stay closeted for a long time,” he said.

Upon hearing this, Phillips told TMZ that she was "mortified by this behaviour. . . I was a teenager and reckless in my behaviour.

"I have contacted Daniel and apologized to him privately. . . I have nothing but love for the LGBTQ community and Daniel."

Since then Franzese has revealed through Twitter that he has accepted her apology.

4. It's (kind of) official. Richie Strahan and Alex Nation are really done now.

If there was ever any doubt their relationship is well and truly dead, we're about to make things crystal clear.

We now have *official* confirmation that the Bachelor couple that was Richie Strahan and Alex Nation is done. And by official, we mean Instagram official, of course.

According to the Daily Mail, the pair have unfollowed each other on Instagram. Yep.

This was perhaps the last virtual thread connecting these two together following reports Nation has moved on from Strahan with friend and football team mate, Maegan Luxa.

But guys, don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. And be happy for Alex!

5. Kyle reminds us all that he is still a creep: comments on Jackie O's "cans," *voms*.

KIIS FM’s Kyle Sandilands was at it again this morning, critiquing co-host Jackie O’s Insta account. But it was Jackie O’s "cans" (his words - not ours) that really caught his attention.

Sandilands then went on to accuse Jackie O of using her boobs to "lure tradies on social media."

We'd like to take this moment to point out our disgust, but we'd be wasting our breath.

Sydney you are the best!!!! Feeling like summer all over again......really wishing we'd kept on top of our pool cleaning though!!! Pretty sure there's life under there.

It's not the first time Sandilands has commented on 42-year-old Jackie O's boobs.

Last year, Sandilands dug up an old modeling shot of Jackie O which revealed her nipple, leaving Jackie O "very uncomfortable."
