A very lovely person once said, “Kindness doesn’t cost a thing. Sprinkle it everywhere.”

It’s true. Being kind won’t cost you a cent. It makes people feel good. And we’ll never run out of it. So, why aren’t we being kinder to each other?

Here atMamamia, we’re pledging to #ChooseKind. As Mia Freedman, co-founder ofMamamia, writes as an ambassador on the #ChooseKind website:

“Kindness is such a holistic thing. It’s how you behave towards people you know and people you don’t. It’s how you behave in real life and online. Kindness is what you choose to say and what you don’t. It is perhaps the unsung hero of all virtues because it has the ability to change the world.”

So, why #ChooseKind? The #ChooseKind movement is inspired by the story of Wonder, the uplifting story of a 10-year-old boy named August Pullman and his experience going to a mainstream school for the first time, after being born with a facial difference. But it’s his differences that make him the most unlikely of heroes.

Based on US author R.J. Palacio’sNew York Timesbestselling novel of the same name, the film follows Auggie as he challenges his family, classmates and community to act with compassion and acceptance.

Auggie is a living example that one person and one action can have a ripple effect in spreading more kindness in the world. That’s whyWonderhas kicked off #ChooseKind: a movement that is encouraging individuals, families, friends, schools and communities to sign the pledge together.

So, want to join the challenge with us and sprinkle some kindness? It couldn’t be easier, it starts with one jar…
