Jesinta Campbell has smacked down ‘rumours’ that she’s pregnant in the classiest way possible.
Tongues started wagging after Jesinta was photographed with a ‘pregnancy bump’, despite it being much more likely the photos revealed a much-loved, partially-digested chicken burrito. Or, whatever her lunch equivalent was.
Regardless, the rumours have bubbled away for weeks. And now, for the first time since the Daily Mail asked Jesinta “what are you trying to hide?”, the 24-year-old model has responded to the speculation.
“[It’s] a bad photo,” the recently announced Olay ambassador told Fairfax last night.
“A baggy T-shirt and a bit of wind blowing.”
“It’s part of the parcel that comes with this [job]… Sometimes things upset me but the good far outweighs the bad. For me it’s water off a duck’s back.”
The former Miss Universe Australia says gossip about pregnancy doesn’t just affect her – but women everywhere.
“It’s a really sensitive question for women – that’s why I would never ask a woman about it because you never know what is happening.”
Jesinta’s honest, refreshing nature has endeared her to the Australian public. (Post continues after video…)
The dress Jesinta elected to wear to the event – a flowing, Grecian style Bec & Bridge gown – also attracted attention from Daily Mail. Yesterday, the publication wrote an article about the dress, noting the “loose-fitting ensemble” was “not (Jesinta’s) usual style!”.
So, we don’t know about you, but we’re going to take Jesinta’s word for it.
