Finally, a toy company realises not all girls want to be Disney Princesses.

We’ve all seen the endless and patronising advertisements for girls’ toys.

You know they’re for girls because EVERYTHING is pink. There are baby dolls, there are cute puppies, there are dress-ups, design-your-own hairclips, jewels you can stick on just about everything in your house and of course Disney Princesses.

How come girls don’t get any of the GOOD STUFF? Blocks. Lego. Remote-control cars.

Well, the time for that is over. The fine folks at this particular toy company have decided girls should be allowed to aspire to something that isn’t pinky, cutesy and baby. They’ve made products and an advertisement designed to inspire girls to careers in engineering, building and construction.
