Forget hiding it, or “losing” it, this is how to get your child to give up the dummy.

There comes a time where every toddler needs to give up the dummy.

It is that time that every parent dreads. Because, you know, dummy’s are quite special. Particularly to the toddler.

And well, giving it up isn’t too easy.

So what these parents did, is absolutely beautiful (but we kind of think the toddler might not realise what she just did).

And gave the dummy attached to the balloons to her.

Cora looks to dad to see if this is for real.

Takes one last suck.

And releases it (maybe accidentally).

Mum waves bye.

And eventually Cora joins in.

Man, those balloons fly fast.

Cora runs after the balloons.

And finally comes to terms with it.

No way those are coming back.
