As a makeup artist, I have a full-on, hard-core love of makeup products. I love primers and setting powders, and contour palettes and lipliner and gel liners and…. the list goes on.

But that’s not the case for many others. Maybe they don’t have the time. Maybe they don’t have the money to spend on beauty products. Maybe their loves lie elsewhere.

And in many ways, that’s a good thing.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that sometimes, less is more. Not everyone likes layering makeup on their face like a home-made lasagne.

In fact, when it comes to creating a day-in-day-out look to wear to work – you only really need four products.
