There is video of Daniel Radcliffe auditioning for Harry Potter.

“Harry? Harry Potter?”

At the age of 11 he was plucked from obscurity and thrust into the limelight after being cast as famous wizarding wonder Harry Potter.

It’s a character Daniel Radcliffe spent the next decade fine-tuning across eight blockbuster movies – a franchise that grossed more than $1 billion at the box office.

And his first screen test for the role is online and it’s super cute.

Despite a bout of the giggles and a couple of forgotten lines, the British youngster is fairly impressive.

He even tries on those iconic glasses for the first time.

Though director Christopher Columbus was keen to lock in the young Brit, Radcliffe’s parents almost put an end to the whole thing before it even began.

His parents originally turned down the offer, which included a plan to shoot six films in LA.

But it was the sweetener of shooting two movies in the UK that ended up getting the Radcliffes over the line.

And they’re probably pretty glad they agreed…
