1. “When I rang the number, it wasn’t the man from the ad on the phone.”
2. A hospital called to tell a man his brother had died. Twenty minutes later, they called him again.
An anonymous Reddit user relates a truly tragic coincidence that happened while he was at work.
“My co-worker gets a phone call from a hospital in New York that his brother Robert Lastname had died. It was somewhat expected as he had been in the hospital for a few weeks with some serious complications. The guy tells everyone in the office and takes the rest of the day to start making arrangements,” they write.
“As he’s walking out the door, maybe 25 minutes later, the phone rings for him. It’s the hospital. He picks up and they tell him “We’re sorry to call you to let you know that Robert Lastname has died”. He says, “Yeah, I know, you called me a half hour ago.” They said, “Sir, it just happened a few minutes ago, that’s not possible”. He’s says “I’m telling you, I got a call a half hour ago, I’ve already called my wife and brother to tell them and started to make arrangements.” They have a bit of an argument about it, as the hospital is telling him it just happened a few minutes ago.”
"He finally says, "Give me the hospital number so I can call and figure out what's going on". She starts to give him the number and the area code is Florida. Turns out, his father, Robert Lastname Sr, died unexpectedly, 25 minutes after his oldest son, a thousand miles away. Father never found out his son died. Guy I work with had to plan two funerals."
3. "I feared I would never see him again. He ended up dying that night."
PardonedTurkey writes on a Reddit thread that after he lost his grandfather, he felt his presence in the most unexpected way.

More than 40 years ago, my husband's grandfather died. He was an avid punter on the horse racing, as were my husband's parents. The day after Pop's funeral, which was a Saturday, I got up at 4am to drive my husband to the station to go to work. I returned home and went back to bed about 5.30am. I went straight back to sleep and woke up facing the bedside clock. It was 7am. I knew Pop was in the room. I turned onto my back and he was standing at the foot of the bed, as clear as day. He said 'Tell Ted (my father in law) to take 10 and 10 in the double in Sydney today.' At the time, there was only one race at each meeting where you could take a double. I, who know nothing about horse racing but like to be sure, said 'Are you sure Pop? Half the time there arent even 10 horses in a race.' He said 'Just tell him 10 and 10.' And then he disappeared. Didn't fade away, just disappeared. It's important to note that the conversation wasn't spoken. I instinctively thought what I wanted to say and Pop answered me telepathically.
I didn't call my father in law to give him the message but you can only imagine my utter shock when watching the news that night to have the sportscaster say 'A pair of tens got up in the double in Sydney today.' That is totally inexplicable. I've had a few psychic experiences but that was the best. Or worst, depending on how you look at it.
Great stories but you really need to work on the proofreading. Half of story 6 is in story 7.
