Gwyneth's R-rated r/ship advice, The Great Gatsby black carpet & Beyonce's tour demands.

It’s been a busy week in celeb world. But lucky for you, we’ve summarised the best bits. Right here. Enjoy.

1. Gwyneth Paltrow’s interesting relationship advice.

You may or may not have noticed that Gwyneth Paltrow is EVERYWHERE at the moment.

The 40-year-old appeared on Chelsea Handler’s late night show, Chelsea Lately, on Monday night when Handler revealed that Paltrow had once advised a female friend to resolve an argument with her husband by giving him oral sex.

Paltrow clearly unaware that her marriage advice was going to be revealed on live television, as she covered her face with her hands and exclaimed, “What if my mom is watching this show?”

This is what Chelsea told the audience:

“We were at a dinner party one night and this girl was asking for advice and Gwyneth is an amazing advice giver.

“The woman was saying ‘I got into a big fight with my husband and I got home and I wanted to scream and yell’ and Gwyneth was like ‘Whatever you’re doing just do the opposite, just go at him with love and you give him a blow job’.”

You’d kinda want her to be a guest at your next dinner party, huh?

2. Forget “planking”, “baby mugging” is the latest trend sweeping Instagram, and it’s hilarious. Check out these awesome pics, then add your bub to the iVillage gallery.

3. Red carpet round-up:

a) The White House Correspondent’s Dinner

President Obama decided he needs to shake things up in his second term and used the White House Correspondent’s Dinner to showcase his image overhaul… a fringe.

Click through the red carpet gallery to see stars such as Rebel Wilson, Katy Perry and Sofia Vergara who also attended the gala dinner:

And not everyone was amused by the annual event, Sarah Palin took to Twitter to air her disgust:

Just for the record, any of our team would have happily gone to the #nerdprom. Sofia Vergara, Rebel Wilson and the Obamas in a room? We’re there.

b) The Great Gatsby New York premiere

Baz Luhrmann’s latest project premiered in New York this week on a black carpet instead of a red one. Because, you know, ART.

Naturally, Carey Mulligan stole the show in an incredible Lanvin red dress, while Aussie Isla Fisher went the floral road – which really kinda works. The boys all rocked dapper suits and Anna Wintour even made an appearance, but didn’t crack a smile. With teeth anyway.

We don’t get the film down under until May 30 so check out the red black carpet pics here:

5. $900 straws and red toilet paper, Beyonce’s tour rider revealed.

Beyoncé’s rider for her The Mrs Carter Show World Tour has been revealed, with an insider claiming the singer has demands that include $900 titanium straws.

According to News Ltd the 31-year-old singer “forked out $900 for titanium straws, which will be used to drink a special alkaline water that’s served at exactly 21 degrees.”

Also on her list is a new toilet seat at every venue, red toilet paper, off-white walls in her dressing room and a hand-carved ice ball to suck on after performances. No biggie.

Alright, there’s more – according to the source, Beyonce also insists her crew wear only 100 per cent pure cotton, “presumably to save her from allergic reactions” and bans junk food “in favour of glass platters of almonds, oatcakes and green-only crudités”.
But whatever, she’s fabulous.

6. Alec Baldwin’s teenage daughter Ireland has taken to Tumblr to condemn haters who’ve called her “fat” and “unattractive”. This is what she had to say.

7. Catherine Zeta-Jones voluntarily checks into mental health facility.

A spokesperson for Catherine Zeta-Jones’ has confirmed that she has voluntarily checked herself into a mental health hospital for treatment of her bipolar II condition.

“Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility,” her rep, Cece Yorke, tells People. “Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner.”

A source tells People that “There was no big problem,” the 43-year-old is simply maintaining her condition which is symptomatic of mood swings, often with episodes of depression.

“This was just a good time to do it. She is in between projects. This has always been part of the plan. She would manage her health. She is vigilant about it.”

In 2011, the actress also spent time in a Connecticut mental-health facility for the disorder, at the time her husband of 11 years, Michael Douglas, was also battling cancer.

We wish her well, but why is this a big deal again?

The rumour is that Omar Borkan Al Gala, a poet, actor, and photographer from Dubai, is one of three men that have been deported by Saudi authorities who feared that they would prove ‘irresistible’ to women.

Really? Like, REALLY?!

According to reports the trio from the United Arab Emirates were removed from the Jenadrivah Heritage & Culture Festival in Riyadh by The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices because they were “too handsome”.

Poor guy, it’s not his fault he’s really, really, ridiculously good looking.
