Can your grandma dance like this?

Today’s Good News post is brought to you by Vaalia.

For the next four weeks we’ll be bringing you a little dose of good news. Sometimes when we turn on the TV, radio or open a newspaper, it feels like everything in the world is just sad and wrong. But there are pockets of delight and happiness, which we’ll be uncovering and bringing to you.

When Paddy and Nico rocked up on the stage for Britain’s Got Talent, the judges’ disbelief was visible.

But 79-year-old Paddy (turning 80 this July) had no time for the judges’ condescension, and with an eye-roll and shake of her fascinator-bedecked head, decided to show the judges what she could really do.

It starts off a little slow, but at about 1.45 the couple’s electric ballroom performance goes – in the words of Simon Cowell – ballistic.

The expression on Paddy and Nico’s faces at the end of the performance, when the gold confetti starts falling from the roof? Just try not to clap with glee.
