M aster renovators Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker have found themselves homeless. Kind of.
Having sold theirBlockproperty to comedian Dave Hughes, and then their Coburg residence for a record $1.63 million, it seems the couple has a bit of time to kill while they figure out their next moves.
Popping onto theTODAY Show, Elyse said that she and Josh are taking a break before embarking on their next renovation adventure.
“We are homeless,” she said. “We sold our own personal home now. We have gone from two houses to none.”
Instead, the couple is choosing to spend their summer outdoors and are taking some time to refresh before embarking on their next reno job.
“I think we will be camping all summer on the beach, which is a good thing,” she said.
And it seems like it’s something they’ve been planning for a while.
Earlier last month, Elyse shared a photo on Instagram of her looking very cosy in a campervan, with the caption “it’s time to get back to basics! [Road] trips,” and previously she’s talked about the importance of taking time off.
“I just want to be chilling out at the beach or the river, and just take time out for ourselves,” she toldnews.com.au last month. “I think it’s really important when you’re so busy just to take a step back and appreciate everything you’ve done in the year.”
And you know what? That actually sounds pretty great.
