Best and Worst: "My chocolate obsession just hit an all-time high."

Welcome to Best and Worst, friends.

This is the place where you get to tell us all the good things and all the not-so-great things that happened in your week.

For those of you who haven’t been here before, Best and Worst is where we talk about everything that’s happened in our week.

Let me begin this week’s post with a disclaimer: I really, really, really, really, really like chocolate.

A few months ago, I heard someone talking about a ‘family sized’ block of chocolate.

Until that day, I didn’t even know there was such thing as family sized chocolate blocks. I was thrilled. I immediately jumped onto the phone to my partner to give him the good news.

“GUESS WHAT! YOU CAN GET FAMILY SIZE BLOCKS OF CHOCOLATE NOW! I won’t have to go through a block a night!”

He laughed at me and assured me the chocolate bar (does it even really count as a block?) I’d been eating every night was in fact a family size block. Intended to feed a whole family.

So that’s what we’re dealing with here.

It’s probably not hard to guess, then, that the best part of my week was when I found out the Mamamia Team had been invited to lunch at the Guylian Cafe in the Rocks over the weekend.

I could barely control myself. I may or may not have mauled some of my colleagues when they asked if I wanted to share my dessert with them. (Apologies, guys. Chocolate and sharing don’t mix).

But come on – if you had this for dessert, would YOU share?

Now, I like to think of myself as a chocolate connoisseur. I think I eat enough chocolate to have gained top-level expert status. And I was prepared to be picky.

I do not want to understate this: My trip the Guylian cafe was the best thing that happened to me all week, and probably all month, and possibly all year. I drank a choc-banana milkshake that CHANGED MY LIFE.

Me drinking a choc-banana milkshake. If you haven’t tried it, you haven’t lived.

Guylian, if you’re listening: how do you feel about office delivery? I’d like to place a preliminary order for four thousand choc-banana milkshakes.

Oh, and the worst part of my week? Probably realising that at some point I had to leave the chocolate cafe and return to real life.

But enough about me.

What’s been the best and worst parts of your week?
