Anne Hathaway has only been married for six weeks, but she's already talking babies!
At a roundtable discussion with six other female Oscar contenders, the newlywed star of Les Miserables realised she was the only actress without kids waiting at home.
"I'm the only one here who's not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon," she said at the event hosted by The Hollywood Reporter.
Joining Amy Adams (The Master), Sally Field (Lincoln), Naomi Watts (The Impossible), Marion Cotillard (Rust and Bone), Helen Hunt (The Sessions) and Rachel Weisz (The Deep Blue Sea) for a conversation about their craft and careers, Hathaway, 30, was also the youngest by seven years.
When Adams, 38, complained about the burden of having paparazzi follow her and her little girl Aviana around in their ongoing search for trendy "celebrity mum" snapshots, Hathaway revealed how the issue weighs on her mind.
"I'm thinking about that because I really want to have a baby, and my husband and I are like, 'Where are we gonna live?'" she wondered.
"Come to France, we have laws!" encouraged her The Dark Knight Rises costar Cotillard, 37, referring to her native country's strict invasion-of-privacy protections.
Even though Hathaway, who married actor Adam Shulman on September 9, was the only non-mum of the bunch, she was also the only actress who had hosted the Academy Awards ceremony. (For better or worse!)
"Oh, scars," she said when THR asked about her infamous co-hosting stint opposite James Franco.
Hunt, 49, said she liked it, at the very least.
"Thanks!" Hathaway replied. "I went into it with a lot of trust and a lot of hope, and I had a blast doing it. And I realised afterwards, I played to the house. It's a 3,500-seat theater, so I was just shooting energy to the back of it and it was like a party! It was great! And I think it looked slightly manic and 'hyper-cheerleadery' onscreen. But I have no regrets about doing it."
As for what projects the award-contending actresses should consider doing next, Weisz, 42, had cheeky suggestion: "Maybe we can do the female version of The Hangover. All of us on a 24-hour bender."
We're not sure if that would land them back in the Oscar race — but we'd definitely turn up to see it!
