The Hills star Whitney Port has welcomed a baby boy into the world.

Former star of The Hills and The City, Whitney Port has welcomed her first baby into the world.

The 32-year-old announced the news on Instagram, apologising to her fans for being offline while she’s been adjusting to life as a first-time mum.

“Sorry I’ve been MIA for like a week! I lost my phone. Just kidding!! I made a human!” she wrote. “Sonny Sanford Rosenman was born on 7/27/17!! Everyone is so happy and healthy and we are home now.”

“I am beyond obsessed and in love and wish I could bottle this feeling for all of you out there.”

The fashion designer and author also shared some adorable snaps of baby Sonny on her blog, joking that her news was “no big deal.”

“I created another human being and then delivered him into the world at 12:30 am Thursday morning,” she shared.

"I just want to talk about how I'm feeling. I love him and feel protective over him, but more than anything, I'm just like obsessed.

"I can't stop looking at him, or thinking about him when I am in another room. My heart just grew to accommodate all this extra love I now have to give.

"It's just awesome. I can’t wait to watch him change and grow and take on my traits and Timmy's."

Port and her husband, Tim Rosenman, married in November 2015 and announced they were expecting in an Instagram post in February.

She often shared candid thoughts with her fans throughout her pregnancy, hosting a YouTube series, called I Love My Baby, but Hate my Pregnancy.

In June, she admitted that her body confidence was so low that she had stopped having sex with her husband.

"I feel so uncomfortable with my body that I can't get into the mood. I can't feel sexy," she told podcast The LadyGang.

She also said she began covering up in front of her husband when her baby belly began to show.

"I think if I was one of those pregnant women that loved it and was confident, then he'd be into it," she said. "I think I've turned him off of it because I'm like, 'Don’t look!'"
