This is the 11-year-old boy who was killed by his father in Victoria last night.
Wednesday night cricket and soccer training was under way when the tragedy unfolded at the suburban oval around 6.30pm/
Paramedics were called to the cricket ground at Frankston-Flinders Road, south-east of Melbourne to attend to a school-aged boy with head injuries after the horrific incident. The boy was Luke, and he died at the scene.
Victorian Police have said that Luke's mother, who was estranged from the father, was 'in close proximity to where this happened.'
Tributes to Luke, who was in Year 6 at Flinders Christian Community College, are growing on social media and police have asked any witnesses to come forward.
