CCTV of the suspect.

Police in Thailand have released CCTV footage of the primary suspect in yesterday’s Erawan Shrine bombing that killed 22 people and injured over 120.

CCTV stills show a man with a yellow shirt leaving a backpack at the scene, minutes before the explosion

A second blast occurred last night when a device was thrown from a bridge onto a pier, but exploded in the water – there were no causalities.

Prawut told The Bangkok Post that Tuesday’s “pipe bomb” which was tossed from a bridge, was probably meant to land on a busy platform leading to a pier. Instead it hit a pillar and bounced into a canal, sending a large plume of water into the air.

Police Chief Somyot Pumpunmuang said that Tuesday’s bomb was much smaller than Monday’s bomb at the shrine. But the bomb construction was similar.

National police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri released several photos of the  yellow-T-shirt wearing man carrying a backpack.

“The yellow-shirt guy is not just the suspect. He is the bomber,” Prawut told The Associated Press.

They now say they have identified the suspect.

2. Australian man interviewed in relation to Bangkok bombing.

“I forgive everyone who spread those horrible rumours about me. I love this country and let’s fight together. Let’s find this bomber. I’m not a terrorist.”

He said there was no way he was the man in the CCTV footage saying “I would never wear those clothes for starters.”

“I’m not a terrorist and the photo of the terrorist looks nothing like me. I would never wear those clothing [sic] — I’m a fashion blogger … I’ll keep you posted but please pray for Thailand. I’m Australian and we are battlers … I still love you Thailand,” he wrote online.

5. Child protection services ignored doctor’s warning after baby suffered a suspicious broken leg.

Ebony’s father is in jail over her death.

A radiologist who treated baby Ebony – the four-month old baby girl who died in November 2011 from “horrific injuries” at her teenage parent’s unit in Adelaide has told an inquest he alerted child protection services when she was admitted to an Adelaide hospital with a broken leg but that nothing was done.

Radiologist Christopher Pozza told the Coronial inquest he suspected a fracture to Ebony’s thigh was non-accidental when he examined her at Adelaide’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital in August 2011.

The inquest heard that Ebony’s parents told the hospital she had overbalanced and fell onto her pram, trapping her leg between the wheels reports The Daily Mail.

“In my opinion, the force required to fracture this bone is not consistent with the stated fall” Dr Pozza told Adelaide Coroner’s Court.

“A fracture of the femur requires a significant force.

“Something like a vehicle accident or a fall from a significant height – out of a tree or a playground.”

Dr Pozza said he was surprised child protection services did not ask for his opinion on the injury when they investigated.

“My findings were short, sharp and to the point,” he said.

“I could not stress highly enough my concerns.”

Ebony’s father was jailed in March for nine years after he fatally bashed his four-month-old daughter and failed to get her medical attention. Her mother was given a supervised bond for two years

“While I am very proud of my boys for everything they do and will encourage them till the day I die, these trophies will be given back until they earn a real trophy. I’m sorry I’m not sorry for believing that everything in life should be earned, and I’m not about to raise two boys to be men by making them believe that they are entitled to something just because they tried their best … cause sometimes your best is not enough, and that should drive you to want to do better … not cry and whine until somebody gives you something to shut u up and keep you happy.”
