 4. AirAsia flight QZ8501: Indonesian officials say plane’s black box may be buried in seabed, impeding signal

By ABC

Indonesian officials say the black box of AirAsia flight QZ8501 may be buried in the seabed, or muddy waters may be impeding its signal.

The search for the black box continues.

Nine days after the plane crashed, officials said there was still no sign of the crucial black box flight recorders.

Search and rescue agency official Supriyadi, who is coordinating the operation from the southern Borneo town of Pangkalan Bun, said there had been no “pings” detected from the black box’s emergency locator beacon.

He said it was possible it was buried in the seabed or the muddy water was impeding its signal.

“They haven’t found anything, maybe because the water is turbid and there is zero visibility,” Supriyadi said.

“There’s a possibility it is buried in mud.”

Unfortunately, due to a series of unfavorable circumstances, my husband decided to pack up and call it quits, leaving a note on the bed when I returned from work. The rest is history, and that’s why I have opted for the exciting option of none other but to AUCTION the return flight and accommodation with myself right here!”

The trip,  eight nights in Bali in early February,  offers the right travel partner, waterfront accommodation, scootering around the island and “many, many pub crawls”.

She says however that those looking to get some action are not guaranteed. “Please be mindful that this is not a holiday to get sexed up in any way, shape or form,”

“This is purely platonic. Yes I may be single, however there is no guarantee that anything will come from this trip.”

Her auction follows in the footsteps of British man John Whitbread advertised his honeymoon on eBay earlier this week after his fiancée dumped him at Christmas.
