"Winter uniform sorted": 19 things the Mamamia team shopped this month.

It's now officially the cold, dead middle of winter, and while that might be a little depressing (summer, we hardly knew you...) it's also a really good excuse to go shopping. Those coats and jeans aren't going to buy themselves now, are they?

In June, the Mamamia team have been busy stocking up on cosy knitwear, denim staples and even the odd statement dress - because wedding season never sleeps.

Here's everything we bought this month, and why we rate it.

While you're here, check out this episode of our weekly fashion podcast, where our hosts share their best shopping tips - including how to know if you're buying something that'll stick around in your wardrobe. Post continues below.

Raef the Label Henley blazer, $199

"I'd seen this Australian label around on the 'gram, and as a die-hard blazer addict I had to get my hands on this boxy tailored jacket. At $199, it's an investment piece I know I'll wear constantly (I'm wearing it right now)." - Tamara Holland, Head of Lifestyle and host of What Are You Wearing?

Prene The Astrid Bag $129.95

"And I was just gifted this swish little bag from Prene, part of their new silhouette range. The 90s circle shape in neoprene is something I've never seen before and I love that it's machine washable! It'll be my new go-to for zipping around the city." - Tamara Holland, Head of Lifestyle and host of What Are You Wearing?

"These jeans have changed my life. I have been on time to EVERY event I have had the last few weeks because of these jeans, and it's because they're all I've been wearing since I got them. I have always found winter fashion hard, especially pants, and these are the first pair of jeans I have owned that make me feel good about how I look. They're also the first pair of "wide-leg" jeans that actually fit a wider leg - and bonus, they're stretchy. I own a black and blue pair and I love them. One bummer is Country Road's sizing is not inclusive and only goes to size 16." - Talissa Bazaz, Podcast Producer.

I got this brown faux fur cropped jacket to throw on and add some glamour for winter nights out. It's super soft and cosy and I love the 1970s vibe when paired with dark denim. Currently on sale too - down from $119.95!" - Laura Jackel, Parenting Writer.

Decjuba Alexa Girlfriend Jean, $109.95.

"I recently bought these jeans from Decjuba and love that they're not too far from my skinny jean comfort zone, but are still a relaxed fit. The cut is really flattering and they have the perfect amount of stretch to be comfy. Also love the light blue wash!" - Simone Masci, Sales Manager.

"My lovely friends bought me these for my birthday. I always wear hoops so love that these are my style but with a little twist, with the cross weaving design. I feel like I'll wear them for years." - Polly Taylor, Commissioning Editor.

Trenery knit, bought on sale.

"I had a little knit haul at Trenery and I love each and every piece! This beautiful jumper made of wool, alpaca and hemp was one of three that I scored - all half price. Love a statement neckline, and it’s so warm yet light - and dreamy on the skin. I like to wear it half tucked into a pair of high-waisted wide-legged black pants, with nude pointy heels. It doesn’t appear to still be online, but some other lovely Trenery knits here." - Rebecca Davis, Senior News and Features Writer.

Exotica Turtley Fabulous Performance - T Back Comfort Crop Top, $59.99.

"I bought a crop top from Exotica Athletica and it's the softest, most versatile sports bra. They have heaps of patterns and go up to a size 26. Apparently you can even wear them swimming so it doubles as a bikini top!" - Rose Kerr, Podcast Producer.

Cos Wide-Leg Cotton Trousers, $135.

Suki Home Coral Mini Skirt, $180.

"I also bought the cutest skirt from the Melbourne brand Suku Home. It's definitely a more spendy purchase, but it's hand dyed and sewn, so every piece is unique. Plus, the fit is great! It has two buttons so you can adjust it to suit what you're wearing, if you want a loose or tight fit." - Mikayla Floriano, Podcast Producer.

Uniqlo Souffle Yarn Mock Neck Sweater, $49.90.

"I bought these two new jumpers for winter a few weeks ago, and I am living in them. Probably too much... I really should diversify, but they're so dang warm, and I like that that the colours are so easy to mix and match with my wardrobe. Both super versatile over skirts and dresses or tucked into jeans." - Gemma Bath, News Editor.
